Deck Interview: Moon & Stars Deck

How I Got It

Nothing special, honestly. I wanted a deck with different art, so I found this online on sale from Barnes and Noble. I've been into the visuals of moon and stars lately, which I'll go into more as I describe the artwork. The booklet was written by Jayne Wallace, and includes affirmations for each card. I don't know much about the author, but it seems she's pretty famous in celebrity circles.

Artwork

That artwork for this deck is done by Hannah Davies. It's a softer type of art than my other deck, with abstract backgrounds and small details added to the major arcana cards. I like the abstract work and the small details that include constellations or astrology symbols. I bought this deck purely for the artwork and the layout of the cards, including the word displayed.

Interview Spread

I will be using these questions as I draw and interpret:
  1. What kind of energy do you have?
  2. What are your strengths?
  3. What are your limits?
  4. What kind of readings do you prefer?
  5. What message do you have for me?

What's your energy? - Nine of Wands

Challenges, Imagination, Preservation. Trust your intuition.

What's your strengths? - Eight of Wands

Directness. Communication. Action. Essential Messages.

What's your limits? - Seven of Swords

Betrayal. Discretion. Sneaky energy. Running away.

What's your kind of readings? - Eight of Cups

Beginnings. Courage. Reflection. Moving on.

What's your message today? - The Lovers

Decisions. Distractions. Harmony. Long Term. Right/Wrong.

Introspection

This deck is more intuition and emotional based. When situations seem to challenge my inner self and intuition, this deck may be the best one to use for answers or guidance. If there are things I need to know that relate to feelings, a spread with this deck could help. Using this deck in relation to secrets or running away would not in my best interest. It's a deck that gives positive guidance more than straight forward answers.

The message from the deck today is in relation to decisions. Creating a home of harmony and long term plans is in the process at the moment. My husband and I are deciding the best places to settle when we move, and which would be best in the long term versus short term. This deck visual gives me calm and settling feeling, which is what I need when I am feeling stressed and highly emotional.

Positives vibes to everyone out there!
Tabitha
