How I Got It
I bought this deck from a Barnes and Noble over a decade ago. I'm not sure if it was before or after I got married, but it's been with me through major events in my life. I'm not sure the reason I kept the deck, but it was always in a black drawstring bag of cheap fabric. I found it a few months ago in the bottom of a storage tub, the bag starting to unravel. I'm not sure this deck is being sold anymore.
Artwork
Visually, the deck is in line with my tastes. I love the vibrant colors and knotted designs. It reminds me of the art style called Pointillism, which involves using dots of colors to create a whole image. It was created by Courtney Davis in 1989 from what I could find online. The pentacles are depicted by coins and the wands are depicted by staffs.
Interview Spread
I will be using these questions as I draw and interpret:
- What kind of energy do you have?
- What are your strengths?
- What are your limits?
- What kind of readings do you prefer?
- What message do you have for me?
What's your energy? - Four of Coins
Financial stability. Materialism. Control of circumstances.
What's your strengths? - Ten of Staffs
Major responsibilities. Tough Times. Struggle.
What's your limits? - Seven of Staffs
New Challenges. Opposition. Force.
Which readings do you want to do? - Five of Staffs
Thrill of the chase. Setbacks. Distractions.
What's your message today? - Death
Endings. Transformation. Significant life change.
Introspection
The energy that I have always gotten from this deck has been straight forward and to the point. This deck will give me answers that are most likely clear and concise. If the querent asks a question and is ready for a no nonsense answer, this deck is it. When asking about situations about money, control, and other struggles life may throw at you, this deck can be used as a tool to guide you toward a way to move past it.
This deck seems to be clear on not wanting to be forceful or causing others harm. It's all about you and what you need to do to get back in control of whatever situation you find yourself in. It wants to help keep you in check and moving toward your goals.
The deck has sent me a message of transformation, of things ending and new things beginning. This is completely true, as my husband and I are in the process of moving to Salt Lake City as I write this post. We are a few months away from the actual trip, but are currently starting the process of transitioning our life to something new.
Positives vibes to everyone out there!
Tabitha
